I think the key to more EV demand is the electricity market and its regulation, and there, Europe is too slow.
EVs are basically home/grid batteries that also happen to be able to take you from A to B. Pricing, regulation etc. needs to start from there.

32. Heatpumps are better for heating homes than hydrogen, but in seasonal climates like northern Europe will exacerbate the seasonal demand and supply mismatch for solar. We need to build wind and probably nuclear as well.

Yritänpä vielä vähän oikoa virheellisiä käsityksiä "valtavirran taloustieteestä". Vähän aikaa sitten moni tykkäsi pöyristyä siitä, miten taloustiede muka käsittelee (tämän hyvin poleemiselta kuulostavan kirjan mukaan) naisten ja hoivan roolia taloudessa. Siispä seminaarianekdootti.
