A few highlights from my recent trip to Natural History Museum Berlin! Finally seeing Tristan Otto, our local T. rex, in person again was a blast!

A huge museum with a sizable collection of fantastic fossils, and of course the Berlin specimen of Archaeopteryx!! Absolutely breathtaking to look at.

Some new #paleoart of Iguanodon for #FossilFriday. Iguanodon recently passed its 200th naming anniversary and it's been drawn to death (it was - and I've done the maths on this - by far the most popular dinosaur subject of the 19th century), but it's still a cool animal to paint. #sciart #fossil

She rears slightly from the dusty orange ground and looks to her right, lifting her thumb-spiked hands into the air. She seems deep in thought, perhaps wondering if she turned the stove off. Is she getting more forgetful now that she's over 200 years old? No: she _did_ turn the stove off, and she's not forgetful, just busy. Not all dinosaurs have sustained palaeoartistic interest for as long as she has, and she's as in demand now as much as ever. You go, girl.

The Elgol Dinosaur is out!

This is the first and most complete dinosaur skeleton from the Jurassic of Isle of Skye, Scotland. I got to work with the amazing @elsa-panciroli.bsky.social on bringing this early ornithischian back to life. #Sciart
