I don't have many followers on here who know me IRL, so this is the place I get to say what I'm feeling. My nephew , who is 12, very recently found out that he has some type of osteosarcoma. Today pathology reports come back regarding staging, type, etc. Guys, I'm so sick to my stomach.

Feeling devastated. My nephew ended up having some very concerning MRI results on his leg, and the medical professional in me is obsessing over every word. Won't know more until Tuesday, but it's highly suggestive of cancer. Anyone a doc at Rush in Chicago?

Yesterday was a really rough day at work. I'm trying realllllllly hard to get over it, but I feel so disrespected. I am, however, grateful for my team and my direct boss for making sure I was ok.

Today is my 40th birthday. I'm not sure how I was supposed to feel, but I definitely don't feel old. I also am super lucky to have awesome people in my life who love and always support me ❤️

Last night my EMT students had their written final exam. I sat with the very last student until 11pm (4 hours). Everyone is graduating! Despite being soooooo exhausted and desperately wanting a day off, seeing my students beam with pride reminds me why I do this job in the first place ❤️🚑🩺

Unbeknownst to me, my doctor more than DOUBLED my dose of phentermine after not taking it at all for a month. 37.5 is waaaaaay too much for me. It might have been nice to mention this to me (the pharmacist also said nothing about the dosage changing).
