I stopped actively engaging on this (by not participating in said group chat or communicating with Adam) about 4 weeks ago. Still, it’s remained pervasive in my online life.

i tried to talk him down initially in private where he continued making things up including lying about a member of my family raping someone. this is a warning to people associating with him even out of pity: he will try to take advantage of your kindness.
