Caving to bullies is never a good idea. It’s never good journalism, either. Particularly for a public broadcast that could use this moment to say: “we’re not CBS, we don’t need Trump’s approval for mergers - we proudly serve our viewers and will keep doing so, even if some politicians don’t like it”
