"Hi everyone, it looks like I ran out of time.
... We need more stories about us and our culture. You all, we all, deserve the everything and more in such a hostile, ableist environment.

Carry her fire in your heart. The best way to honor her is to stand up for the things she would have stood for and to mention her when doing so.

I'm so grateful to have known her on social media, and so grateful for all the words she shared with us and all the actions she encouraged us into making.

May we live up to her example.

You were incredible, Alice Wong, and it was a blessing to have collaborated with you on projects, to have read your words and to have heard your voice, as full of life and passion and joy and rage as it was.

You made a difference—so much of a difference.

Rest always in peace, and always in power.

I am saddened to learn that Alice Wong is no longer with us. She is one of the faces gracing my office door with her words:

“And yet while representation is exciting and important, it is not enough. I want and expect more. We all should expect more. We all deserve more.”

Her legacy will live on.
I’m gutted by this decision. So many excellent editors and writers impacted. My column, Disability Visibility is no more as well. Many thanks to Allegra for giving me this amazing opportunity www.teenvogue.com/contributor/...

Our beloved Alice Wong has joined the ancestors. It was one of the great honors of my life to call Alice my friend, co-author & co-conspirator. She was a true genius, a force of nature the likes of which the world has never seen before. I love you, Alice, and am equal parts grateful and devastated

“I'm honored to be your ancestor & believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future.”

I’m crying. I didn’t know Alice Wong personally, but as a disabled person I felt her kinship & I’ll carry her as an ancestor for however long I have left on this earth 💔
