The UK got 54.7% of its electricity generation from renewables in the third quarter of 2025. Though because nuclear and hydro generation was down year-on-year, gas generation was up.

1/2 Prime example of how far right propagandists have succeeded, paving the way for Farage. Aside from the brave @bbcdomc.bsky.social who objected on the news last night, the BBC now uses the term ‘illegal immigrant’ to refer to people claiming asylum, a legal right.

Actually Rothermere withdrew support for the Blackshirts in 1936, finding their violence distasteful. But he remained a huge fan of Adolf Hitler and Mussolini right up until the start of the war.

Meanwhile and indeed well into 1940 his papers led the campaign against Jews & others fleeing Europe.

If you are only *now* concerned about multi-metre global sea level rise from ice sheets, even at +1.5C global mean temperature rise, then you haven't been paying attention.

It was in the last IPCC reports, there have been multiple studies published and policy briefs. We know it's coming.

Since Autotrader have said 2nd hand EVs have largely reached price parity with petrol, this is further proof that the demand for EVs is there when the price is right

I’ve said it before - and to key people...

Europe should prep and actively encourage a “brain gain” - because there might well be a brain drain from the US… and also a brain flow diversion from the US’s perennial, habitual brain gain.

In other words: where does global science talent flow to now?
NIH funding supports the vast majority of all biomedical research in the United States. Virtually every advance in American medicine and biological science comes from NIH. This is a blow against American science.

Call Congress, 202-224-3121.
All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.

But articles dismissing or contesting policies designed to address climate change have marginally increased over same period:

Could he tell us exactly how much more?

Or ask the boiler manufacturers who levied the tax? 🧵
