I learned the word grift from the 1st trump administration. This time it's so much worse. Heather Cox Richardson's letter from today 2/16/26 says that trump applied for a trademark for his name so his private company could take money from the government for using his name on an airport. 🤮

This is a humanitarian crisis. Locking people up and then not providing any medical care is disgusting. Pregnant women have lost babies and other folks on meds can’t get them.

This is a direct result of losing the manufacturing jobs we had. In the 80’s in my college economics class my prof said if we lose manufacturing jobs, all that is left are service industry jobs. He saw the writing on the wall about how this would mess us up and it’s been a doozy.

I'm sorry...what? The EPA has decided that business and not the effect on humans is the deciding factor for setting pollution limits? Why even have limits if they don't save lives. I am pretty sure that's going to be the next step. I really miss when the government protected humans over businesses.

Thank you OPB for covering the out-of-control ICE activity in Portland and surrounding areas. Our crisis with ICE kidnappings is not getting enough attention.
