Yes! a colleague from decades ago talked about being smuggled from mexico and then used as farm labor. after two years under armed guard, he escaped and went house to house asking for help while men with guns and dogs were tracking him. he finally found a bilingual priest and he was saved.

They can’t get any lazier than that! The prey can’t run or hide and there is none of that pesky “community” to worry about. The only thing that could happen is for families of incarcerated to wake up and realize their family members got deported overnight.

Do you know about habit stacking? Take a habit you want that you have now. Add another habit right before or after the first one. It makes the habit a little easier to do. Know that you might have to redo your habits if anything every changes

There is a proper term for this but I call it back tasking because before I can start or complete this task, I have to go back to another one ad nauseam. Some times I spend a whole day trying to get back to my original task. If cats are involved though…nothing is going to happen.

There are way more programs than the JET program. Is Japan the only country you want to go to? There are colleges and high schools that would love English teachers! It is not too late! There are international jobs advertised on TESOL’s website too. Good luck!

I thought of this too. It's sad that they want senior citizens to starve again. Francis Perkins, the labor secretary under FDR, saw an elderly person looking through garbage cans for food, and came up with Social Security to prevent that.
