Federal employees across the government are now receiving layoff notices, a devastating outcome of Trump’s political games. It’s outrageous that he would use people’s livelihoods as pawns to “score political points”.

What is it going to take to get unqualified individuals out of positions of power?
6 out of 6 Surgeons General confirm that RFKJ is bad for America’s health.

Seriously, though, what’s it gonna take to get him fired? So many organizations and individuals have called for his resignation.

Maybe we need to donate a gold-plated bust of Mussolini for the new White House ballroom?
"Never before have we issued a joint public warning like this."

A very compelling interview. Her positive words at the end are necessary for everyone to hear in these troubled times.
Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

Knowledge is power.
People in a democracy have the right to #read what we want, where we want, how we want. #AoCChecklist is celebrating reading books. All of ‘em. And everything else we can read, too.

Now there’s a serious SCARF!🧣
The knitter in me wonders if I got enough bulky yarn in the stash to make it happen - 😀 #knitting
Winter is approaching and I'm considering purchasing a Lenny Kravitz scarf. The Chicago winter has broken the spirits of many. I want to lug around a big ol blanket and call it clothes. I am prioritizing comfort this year and that means wearing a comforter to work.

Today, we honor the lives lost and the courage of the first responders who were impacted on September 11, 2001.

We remember not only the tragedy of that day, but the deep scars it left on families, communities, and our nation.

I think it might be time to draw rainbow crosswalks in every town.
This is just sad. We’ve posted about this before. Now here is what is going down.

The rainbow crosswalk at the Pulse memorial in Orlando (created to honor the 49 lives lost in the 2016 shooting) has now become the target of state enforcement.

The original photo was made in Thatcher's UK during the Poll Tax riots. A guy, friend of mine at that time, was fighting for justice and against Thatcher's oppression. Banksy remixed it to his iconic flower throwing rioter, which is now remixed to the Subway thrower. History repeating <3
