I noticed today that many of my neighbors took down their Trump flags and signs this week. Did something happen?

He did...OK. He was hamstrung by the GOP and other forces beyond his control. I'm progressive, so I wanted more from him than he could ever give.

I voted straight-ticket Democrat in every election since Clinton, so I did my part, but it should have been this guy. I will proclaim this forever.

I get the "Living Well is the Best Revenge" vibe, but sometimes a situation requires a parting glitter bomb and/or a strong dose of very public and damning social activism.

Two thoughts:

1. It's amazing to me that a man shoots another man in NYC, it makes national news, the pictures of him show distinguishing features, and he's still at large. Not because anyone is looking that hard (I'm not), but I thought facial recognition would have found him (#notlikeTV), and...

I utilized starter packs to follow a ton of off-road scientists. My feed is now mostly wholesome with various new-to-me facts about medicine, botany, and other science stuff. Best decision I've made recently, would recommend.

I already recognize that I will someday miss these early days on Bluesky, where my feed is filled with pictures of celestial bodies and cats, and the energy is overwhelmingly positive. It feels like the web circa late 1990's- early 2000's.
