My NLM-funded #diabeticretinopathy project used #AI/ML on #EHR data for outreach to at-risk diabetic patients in the LA safety net who missed a guideline-recommended eye examination. Increasing safety net DR screening rates is a pressing need to prevent blindness.

I disagree that it damages Republicans as much as Krugman believes. Seems like their cruelty makes them an attractive choice for 40% or more of voters as long as those voters think the cruelty targets others. People who think no one but themselves is deserving.

Which Democrat in the current Senate besides Chuck Schumer *wants* to be minority leader? The job is herding cats (Democrats plus Angus King and Bernie Sanders) and making sure that they stay united in opposition to fascists. The job is also negotiating with the majority party! I wouldn't want it.
