She/her. Seattle via DC & Philly
This is so accurate. 48 is “shit I forgot my gloves” and 52 is no socks needed.
After a year in the Bay Area — and a lifetime spent between NH, Ohio, PA, DC, NYC and London — I think I can finally safely say I understand the difference between 48 degrees and 52 degrees in a way I never could have comprehended before.

People are always like, “It rains too much in Seattle,” and they are wrong. But this? This is too much rain.

I’m finally watching Wake Up Dead Man and I feel…..deflated? This doesn’t seem anywhere near the fun as the first one. Even the second was better.

I’m having to fight to stay engaged and keep catching myself ignoring the tv. Actually I think I’ll DNF this, maybe try again another day.

My friend Rose: Where do we stand on Janice
Me: ...as a spelling of Hanukkah or...?
My friend Rose: yeah, it's a common joke that that's a technically possible spelling of hanukkah

I was served a Caesar salad with diced apples in it and now I know how people who get raisins in their potato salad feel.

There was a little girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead. And when she was good, she was very, very good, and when she was bad, she was horrid.

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.

Finally got to make the enchiladas I had planned for Thursday (before everything was derailed by the Grater Incident).

They turned out pretty good and will make great freezer meals, but I probably won’t use the Victoria brand red sauce again—it was a bit bland.

Instead of eating enchiladas today I spent the afternoon in urgent care getting my thumb glued back on 😫

Watch out lil cheese grater, I know how to hold a grudge
