Adam Kampff prioritized spreading knowledge over publishing flashy papers in prestigious journals, but colleagues say his mark on neuroscience was undeniable. The researcher and educator passed away on 9 December.

Well said, Rui. Adam was one of a kind. Gentle, warm, funny, genuine, and smart. His ability to cut through bullshit and see the big picture catalyzed great science wherever he went. He loved life and shared his joy generously. A huge inspiration. Thanks for all the beautiful memories, my friend!
Last night Adam Kampff, the glue, the light, the catalyst, the builder, the smile, left us. He and his work transformed the lives of many labs, scientists, students. He inspired and was generous to his last transformation, working tirelessly to set up a foundation to continue the work.Thank you!

In April, the AAUP & our Harvard chapter sued the Trump admin for demanding that Harvard censor speech & restructure core operations or else face $8.7 billion in funding cuts.
We hope this decision clarifies to Harvard’s administration that bargaining w/ tyrannical authoritarians is unacceptable.
