I only read English but I seek out news from other countries to get a bigger view of what’s happening in the world.

Ukraine, France & Japan all have English language versions of their news available on BlueSky.

In case you’re interested, this thread for sources I’ve found.

Primary elections are when you're right to be picky and have a candidate "earn" your vote by their policies, history, stances.

General elections are for voting to keep the barbarians out.

Don't believe that, think of 2016 and 2024.

Kick the barbarians out!

ICE has grabbed so many people from their vehicles that there are abandoned cars across Minnesota.

This tow truck driver returns the cars for free as a public service, and he’s been getting death threats.

They hate the helpers.

Which is why must keep helping.

Juan Leon sends a "chase" car to check out where abandoned vehicles are located and arranges discreet drop-offs. Since late December, he estimated they have dropped off 250 cars.

MCAS & POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) are very common long-Covid symptoms that many people develop even after a “mild” infection.
Mast Cell Activation Syndrome is a condition where your mast cells misbehave and treat all kinds of things as an allergic threat even though you’re not technically allergic to them.

They explode or “degranulate”, releasing histamine & hundreds of other mediators.

Why is the government is so threatened by Liam Ramos and his family?

Liam is 5 years old. He’s not a dangerous criminal.

Why is the regime desperate to deport him?

It’s because he captivated the nation. He made people angry with ICE.

Hope is the enemy of fascism.

Donald Trump just lost in court again to Illinois.

He’s never had the right to withhold child care funds for Illinoisans — and the District Court’s preliminary injunction tonight has only affirmed that further.

Looking for experiences from ppl reading on the Kindle Scribe.

My eyes require such a large font size that I’m constantly turning pages on PW.

My main source for books is downloads through my library but I’ve seen reviews that not all Kindle books work on the Scribe.

Any experiences welcome!

Eliminating ICE is the modern equivalent of opposing the Iraq War, and right now there are two types of Democrats: those who can see where the ball is moving and go to it, and those who will be swept away because they refused to do so.
“I would rather you vote for what is morally correct,” Davidson said.

“Don’t talk to me about my own morality,” DeLauro shot back.

“Don’t tell your constituents what they can and can’t talk to you about,” replied Rev. Nathan Empsall. “What you are voting for is not moral.”
