Boxing PPV is such a pisstake.

You can't charge £25 for an event AND put on adverts between rounds.

Does anyone know what happened to A Tale Unfolds?

They did really good schemes of work that blended computing with English. I used one of their schemes in Year 4 where children had to produce a trailer for an adventure film.

If he does run I really hope his campaign slogan is "Chaos with Ed Miliband".
Verdict of one Labour grandee I just bumped into: “Ed Miliband is the person most likely to be the most next Prime Minister”.

My daughter is in Year 1 and some kid in her class has convinced her that Father Christmas and the Tooth Fairy aren't real and explained how it's all down to parents.

Has this happened to any of you before? Is there a way I can get her to believe in it all again?

My favourite thing about dril’s posts is trying to work out whether they’re just random, surrealist nonsense or if there’s some subtext to them.

One of my predictions for 2026 is we're going to see the rise of the 'geezer-y' left-wing comedian.

This won't be everyone's cup of tea but I imagine there are loads of people who haven't even seen a trailer for it who'd love it.

If you like reality competitions and/or fitness AND you're fine with dubbing or subtitles, I'd recommend it.
I'm a big fan of Physical Asia and the Physical 100 series.

It’s a huge fitness competition where teams from different Asian countries do physical challenges to see who’s the strongest and fittest.

For me it's more about your job rather than your income. And more about culture and attitudes than money.

Most teachers* earn less than most plumbers, but teaching is about as middle-class a profession as you get whereas plumbers are working-class to me, even if they're financially comfortable.
Could someone explain to me what is meant when a British person refers to "the middle class" ? Like, in the US, as I hear it, it basically just means a person who makes a certain amount of money, not too far below and not wildly above the median. Seems like a complex concept when UK writers use it?

The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

This is interesting. Jessica Taylor on trauma-informed approaches on schools.

"Those children are taught a lesson that people can treat them however they want, if they have had a bad life."

One thing not being said - indeed, I think everyone misses this - but the requirement for the BBC to show impartiality and balance relates to the politics of *this* country, there’s no requirement to show some mythical balance globally, only to report the truth without fear or favour.

Automated processes only really help if you have a half decent understanding of how to do it yourself the long way around.

This is true whether we're talking about grabbing a calculator, or using an AI LLM.

As a parent of a teenage girl with mental health issues, this is one of the most heart-wrenching, horrendous things I have read. How quickly any of our children could find themselves in this situation. How can this happen? How have we let the state of children's mental health services come to this?

The Deutschland-Ticket provides unlimited travel on regional public transport across Germany for a low monthly fee (currently €58/month).

The German parliament has voted to secure ticket’s funding until at least the end of 2030.
