Using a White House briefing to launder right-wing talking points about Alex Pretti’s killing is grotesque—even by this administration’s standards.

The anger you are feeling over Trump's ICE murdering Renee Nicole Good, then smearing her as a terrorist and now blocking the Minn investigation is all designed to get you to commit an act of violence. All fascist regimes need that excuse to suspend civil liberties. We can't give them that excuse.

Clearly, this was done to thwart mail-in ballots.
So send them WAY early!
There’s been a change on when your mail will receive a postmark. Until 12/24 of this year it was when you dropped off your letter. Now it’s when a machine processes your mail which could be days later. This has implications for time sensitive mail including vote by mail! There are ways around it!

The headline, the main takeaway from a European viewpoint is this:

The transatlantic relationship as we know it is over. Yes, we kinda knew this. But this is now official US White House policy. Not a sppech, not a statement. The West as it used to be no longer exists.

The new National Security Strategy is a propaganda document, designed to be widely read. It is also a performative suicide. Hard to think of another great power ever abdicating its influence so quickly and so publicly. It will be worth following the reactions around the world, not just in Europe.
Trump's national security strategy is out and some of the Europe sections are shocking. "...the growing influence of patriotic European parties indeed
gives cause for great optimism."

Unsurprisingly, the 2022 Biden NSS is very clear about Russia as a threat to the US, its allies, and to international security. These are just a couple of its statements on Russia:
