REV. BLACK (who was shot in the head with a pepper ball): “If this is what they’re doing to pastors, journalists, teachers, mothers, and the elderly gathered to sing and pray outside ICE facilities… what might they be doing to our neighbors who are behind those walls?”

@dieworkwear.bsky.social what TF is going on with the republican running for lt. governor for Va? This is a wild fit.

Getting real sick of hearing about how Virginia Democrats want "men in little girl's dressing rooms" from the people who support a man that bragged about walking through the dressing rooms at his Ms Teen USA events.

The rise of AI makes me want to move to some remote wilderness area and live of squirrels while the world burns.

Terrible opinions about the unhoused may be universal in the US. I blew up on Spokane Reddit for asking why everyone is acting so overly concerned about the homeless here.

I've walked the small part of town the Uber driver warned us about, and yeah there was a very visible homeless population....
God damn. So many people have such terrible opinions. I'm sitting here having some shit wings at a shit bar in a strip mall and hearing the bartender (young lady in her late 20's):

"You know I hate seeing all these homeless people, you never saw that in our suburb when I was growing up".

Ya'll spokane is wild. I just bought an ounce of weed for $15. It's outdoor, kinda like a mix between good, quality modern indoor and that schwag/brick weed from the 90's. Also, virginia creeper appears to be fairly invasive out here.

Respecting "the office of the presidency" right now would require you to be disrespectful to the wannabe monarch who currently holds the position.

It's like the titanic is sinking and Warner is worried about the silverware arrangement on the tables. The time for respect is over. The time for decorum is over. The time to fight fascism is now.
Mark Warner on Fox: "I may disagree with the president, but I respect the office of the president. I'm probably not gonna be jumping up applauding a lot, but I owe him his due as president. The president has made great, great progress on border crossings. That's something we ought to celebrate."

The speed that they are building these local data centers is wild. Here are two slides shared by a local activist in Fburg. They all require either existing FF infrastructure to be maintained or will build new stuff altogether. For what…?

Not exaggerating when I say I would like a personal, handwritten apology from every pundit who barfed out a dozen "the left wants to change the way you talk!" op-eds based on non-mandatory guidelines in obscure PDFs.
2. A memo distributed by NSA leadership to its staff says that on February 10, all NSA websites and internal network pages that contain banned words will be deleted.

Anyone know where to purchase some cheap "flexposts"? Considering doing a bit of tactical urbanism. This will be, as Edward Abbey called it, a bit of night work, so the funding would be coming out of my pocket, and my budget for this is pretty small.

I'm trying to build a list of local organizations (RVA or Chesterfield area) that can help people who are worried about or at risk for deportation. I have a couple of individuals and CASA on my list currently. If you know any local orgs who work with that type of thing, please list them below

More like... elected a man who sees any criticism as disrespect and lashes out when it happens. I really don't think it's much deeper than that.
Imagine watching that sermon and thinking it was "nasty." We elected a man who thinks mercy has no place in a house of worship. God help us.

So I watched some segments of the inauguration live and remember seeing crowd members return Elon's salute during his speech. I have since looked for that footage again and can't seem to find it online anywhere. Does anyone have stills or the video showing the crowd salute back at musk?

Now that trump pardoned all the folks who attacked cops on Jan 6, the chuds should remove those silly back the blue stickers from their trucks. It's clear that they only back the blue if those in blue are beating up black folks and left wingers.

My god I was such a menace as a kid. I can remember my parents asking me multiple times just to call them and let them know where i was on weekend nights. We'd leave out on Friday and not show up at home again until Sunday. Mostly harmless stuff interspersed with mild alcohol poisoning.
