We're 100 minutes away from Silksong's release. Mourning the end of very creative shitposting from r/Silksong and r/HollowKnight. As always, incredible lead art from @happicamp.bsky.social, who took no convincing at all when I asked if he could draw clown makeup.

The factional grifters will hate this, but the Mamdani-Spanberger-Sherrill axis actually suggests the outlines of a broad, emerging Dem coalition organized around both anti-Trump *and* affordability politics, not a party bitterly divided against itself.
These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.

If you are not there constantly attacking you have no idea what issues will catch salience. The right knows this. The left let's quantitative polling dictate the few things they allow themselves to talk about with who knows how many missed opportunities along the way.
My wife’s (in some cases three-time) trump voting relatives have started mentioning the ballroom to me, negatively; anecdata but I’d like to see some high quality polling. I think it’s a mistake by certain elite elected Dems to think this story isn’t breaking thru

Once again I have become 76% smarter reading @happicamp.bsky.social's essay on Roadside Picnic, a book I only just read and already adore. (And also 👀 on the illustrations) mbh4h.substack.com/p/roadside-p...

During a military-style raid on a building in Chicago’s South Shore, one resident heard a knock on his door.

It wasn’t the feds —  it was a mom and her 7-year-old daughter, pleading for help.

He let them hide in his unit for the next 3 days.

This sort of admission—the VP is involved in prosecutorial decisions, the "concerns" arise from political actors, and the administration knows they don't have probable cause—would have prompted the Founders to impeach everyone involved.
JD Vance: "We're in the very early stages of an ongoing investigation into John Bolton ... if we think Ambassador Bolton committed a crime, of course eventually prosecutions will come ... there's a broad concern about Ambassador Bolton."
