This is where my ego comes to die.
Surprise party at his parents' place for my 40th. 🥰 I am loved.
Update: we're still talking. He's even taken me grocery shopping in his sexy little Ford Ranger. Any old schmo can drive an F-150 or Dodge Ram. It takes a real man to choose the Ranger. And it's sexy as fuck. He turns the butt warmer on for me when I get in it.
I'm going on a date tonight. An actual, real, he's picking me up in his truck 🫦🥵 date.

Also, go Jays.

Damn it, I'm still mad about this. When are we going to stop letting this happen, #HamOnt? What are we doing to keep investments that can make or break a community, like this one? 800 units, poof. And I'm still mourning the loss of my favourite laundromat.

Blugh, no more raw oyster bar. Truthfully have not had in many a year (I'm trying to buy a house over here), but I would've been tempted during this upcoming little jaunt to PEI with my sis I'm taking. Quick check: are cooked mussels (preferably wtih beer or wine and tons of garlic) still good?

Alice in Chains Nutshell is the best song of the nineties. I've listened to them all by now and I've made my choice.

Proud of you, my friend!
So this is cool...

This was the first story I wrote, 14 months ago, as a baby journo (today I consider myself a toddler journo).

Now it’s a full-blown Toronto Star exposé. Wild to see it come full circle.

Night mayor is a sexy job title.
Toronto's hiring a Night Economy Manager - maybe we'll shake off "Toronto the Good" and become "Toronto the Kinda Fun"?

European cities & even Ottawa have had night mayors for years. We're a little late to the party but we're showing up.

This split be splittin'
Aaron Gunn, Andrew Lawton, and more wacko Conservative candidates won seats last night.

I don't see how this version of the CPC will be able to hold.

A split is coming.

1/9 I saw this post on LinkedIn and BOY DO I HAVE THOUGHTS:

Rob Kumer's message below hits the same tired notes we've heard forever - 'young people these days are lazy.' Every generation takes their turn playing this broken record.

Imagine being so slimy that you design a car with the capability of receiving pop-up ads.

And then you, Stellantis, are all like "nooo, it was a glitch, of course we're not planning pop-up ads in Jeeps, wink wink."

Core Urban continues to eat every developer's lunch in #HamOnt by buying and actually restoring the nicest buildings in the city. Augusta is transformed thanks to them. Looking forward to seeing what they do with Coppley.

Maybe the 3-hour delay was all just negotiations with Smith.

Holy shit, he hasn't been taking his calls?!? This is a divorce.
It still floors me that Canada's federal government reneged on being the most powerful voice at the tariff table when Canada goes to Washington. Each premier, with varying degrees of interest in leaving Canada, has been empowered to negotiate on behalf of our whole country. Chaotic. No consensus.
