The constant comparisons to the rwrb movie to trash that movie also do not help this show's case for me

As ive mentioned before, Dolores was invented because I wanted to see a(n eldest) daughter who isnt so forgiving of her parents. After encanto and turning red, I was like "is that really it?" for all familial trauma portrayals

Dolores's relationship with her biological parents is non existent. They gave her away to the Circle and for most of her life she did not ever think about them. These days, she tries to have a relationship with them. It is rather awkward and she doesnt call them, Mama and Papa but their first names

Really its also bc the death caller combos with lucanis are so hilarious like...he does a little cut and rook goes and makes every cell in their body explode
