The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed 4 years ago. In new research @urbaninstitute.bsky.social we study its effects.

US transport spending increased by 30%, but:
—Funding for non-highway projects flatlined
—Construction cost increases resulted in no actual increase in infrastructure
Federal Infrastructure Spending on Transportation, Four Years after the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is up for reauthorization in 2026. New analysis shows that the act increased spending on transportation infrastructure, but…

“China is coming up with solutions that are for everyone, not just China”

so is the US only here it all goes to private concerns masquerading as public interest. corporate culture they call it. smells like capitalism to me
This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"

China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

This is genuinely, the most angry I’ve ever seen progressive Americans get at Dems, across the range of the moderate to radical left.

Their last chance at relevance was several exits back, and now they’ve completely exhausted everyone’s good will.

Why? How do they manage it? Because leftism is rooted in the study of economics and human behaviors. So there's a lot of cause and effect analysis going on.

The stancils of the world post charts to feel good about themselves. The leftists look at patterns of behavior to determine the future.

"Those radicals you've been told to find loud, 'unreasonable' and annoying keep consisently being correct, so maybe this should finally prompt some rethinking of your assumptions" remains undefeated.
If they are acting the way "bad faith leftists" assume they act, maybe the leftists were simply correct? In fact, if you look at the leftist sentiment on everything this past election cycle, they have the single most accurate track record of anyone else.

Maybe it's just salient analysis.

truth does not equal freedom when dollar bills are at stake. capitalism washes away sins but leaves the world on pins and needles awaiting the next round of fuckery in its name. make money obsolete and don’t let the power hungry have a class at all. flip the scrip and this all ends!

Remember DNC, it doesn't matter who you run, Fox news will call them a socialist. You could endorse the corpse of Ronald Reagan and their first segment would be "Extreme socialist Reagan picked by Soros to destroy America"

Stop caring what fox news says, and listen to your base. It clearly works.
