Post a book you love from the 80s. No explanations, no reviews, just covers.

I’m really enjoying this episode, and not just because of all the @onebrightbook.bsky.social mentions — what a fascinating topic book collection culling/pruning is! It’s something I’m thinking about a lot as books pour in and available space is disappearing in my house.

Love to settle into my cozy armchair for an afternoon of reading on a rainy October day only to hear a dripping noise out in the hallway that means I’m going to need a new roof 😬

Listen to Darby, people!
In other news I listened to the @onebrightbook.bsky.social episode on this today and it was SO GOOD. It's exactly the kind of book that you read and then at the end you're like, wait, what, I need to talk about it or hear other people talking about it, and the conversation on the ep was perfect.

❤️❤️❤️
A few years ago, seemingly on a whim, @ofbooksandbikes.bsky.social and @ds228.bsky.social and I started a podcast. And it’s been a tremendous amount of fun. Today’s zippy conversation was a celebration. Of our friendship and shared loves of literature. ❤️
Exciting day for the pod! Recorded the conversation that will feature as the afterword to the forthcoming @unnamedpress.bsky.social edition of Sarah Orne Jewett's MARSH ISLAND!

Very excited about this! Look for A MARSH ISLAND with our afterword next summer!
