A small joy is hearing my hometown mentioned in old MST3K episodes. It doesn't balance the scales on its own, but it's nice. Anyone else ever have their towns mentioned on tv and been pleasantly surprised?

I absolutely love public libraries except for mine. My library card expired on my birthday, not 6 months from renewal AND they lost a book I returned, insinuated I stole it and I didn't use my library for 4 years cause I couldn't afford the fee or face their judgement.
