So, I got yipped at by my dad for not going to a family wedding when my primary assistant for my broken ankle arc (my daughter) has Strep throat. We live together.
Apparently staying home with strep is socially unacceptable & bringing an uninvited bacterial wedding crasher was the correct thing

one of my recent preoccupations is the visceral hostility the MAGA right has for the histories and traditions of the United States. these are people who spit on the Declaration and salute third-rate European despots!
It's striking that progressives like Tim Walz and Zohran Mamdani evoke the middle American attitude that, "Yes, we can fix these social problems because we're Americans and it's the right thing to do!" While the "America first" right only emulates failed and failing nation-states elsewhere.

Super disappointing take from Jon Stewart. My youngest & I mask. We both endured 10 years of exposure to environmental toxins that have left us extremely vulnerable to respiratory problems. On top of it, we have autoimmune disease & both have to be on prednisone frequently.
