The face of a woman who broke her ankle in 3 places, suffered complications from anesthesia, intestinal complications and a severe allergic reaction to the meds.

They made a mini gurney for my ankle as they lifted me, screening,onto the actual gurney. The remainder of my walk in the park was strapped on a gurney & hating every bump.

Trimalleolar fracture, oblique and vertical.

First bone I've ever broken in my life. Radiologist called me an overachiever.

But then my left foot started sliding on the leaves, down the slope. I tried to ground my step by pushing down firmly only to hear a sound like a gunshot crack. I managed to ease onto my side as I slid down, leg first, the slope to near the water's edge.

Something red caught my eye and it was an even prettier mushroom. I trudged my way through the leaves on the ground to take a few pictures of it. But then, I saw another even more beautiful mushroom just a little bit further away.

As I walked along the path, I spotted a tremendous orange and cream mushroom the size of a salad plate. In awe, I ventured off of the path to take a picture of it.

Three people so far posting on nextdoor about handling sick geese in the area.

I almost ran over a Canadian? goose on SE Blaine St near NE 70th Ave tonight around 6:00 pm. I got out of the car and tried to shoo it up to the sidewalk but it didn't move, so I picked it up and moved it and it was still just standing there, so I brought it home to see if it might just be in shock and hoping to release it in the morning, but sadly it didn't make it. 😕 Not sure if it was injured or sick so was very cautious about handling and washing afterwards. Anyone else know much about these guys or know of any special procedures I need to follow to respectfully dispose of the carcass? Not sure how worried I should be about bird flu etc. RIP Goose. 😢

There was one in my driveway when I got home this afternoon, I put on gloves, put it in a box, set it up for the night. I don’t think it’s gonna make it, but I also don’t want it infecting any of the chickens in my neighborhood and since it was wandering around that could happen. If it survives overnight, I’ll take it to Dove Lewis because wild Canadian geese. Do not let you pick them up and fishing game don’t pick up on the weekend because the government they don’t work weekends.

Any waterfowl experts on here?
I discovered him last night in the ground level birdbath. He stood there all night and just now managed to get himself out. Pretty sure he’s sick. He lets me get right up to him with no fear and no attempt to fly away. Audubon Society is not allowed to accept him, as he falls under ODFW. jurisdiction. I’m waiting for a callback from them. Any other suggestions??

My finance minister is telling me that he has an anonymous funds manager who is willing to deposit 4 billion
dollars in Maldives and that they are willing to lend a percentage of that in exchange for government
promissory notes. The 4 billion would be deposited in the Central Bank. But they want us to set up a special
purpose vehicle, a construction company fully owned by the government to receive the loan. Such a company
can only be set up under a presidential decree.
I am also told that the funds manager would be charging Maldives upfront a certain percentage of the amount
lent.
I don't feel I have enough information on this. I don't know who is this funds manager. They always want the
finance minister to meet them in Bangkok or some place outside. Why would anyone want to deposit such a
large amount here when we don't have a credit rating and public debt is so high. I feel very uncomfortable about
this.
What do you think I should do. I am very uncomfortable. In addition to the finance minister, a leading politician
and leader of the coalition parliamentary group is behind it. He could be my leading contender for presidency.
Does this sound all ridiculous to you. I have a strange feeling about this whole thing.
