adjunct teaching at multiple places is crazy rn bc the
research universities are like “here’s how our $200M capitulation to fascism is #resistance” and the small colleges are like “email your dean the names of 5 people who could be fired by Monday to save cash (you may include your dean)”

As an English major, I wonder if there’s anything to be made of the explosion of democratic movements around the launch of the printing press, followed by the explosion of authoritarian movements around the launch of algorithmic feeds. But only polls, not poems, are politics, of course.

The Trump admin's record of direct interventions in elections:

—JD Vance & Elon tried to boost the far-right in Germany. Other parties doubled down on a strong barrier to it.
—Elon broke all records in Wisconsin. GOP lost big.
—Trump's arrival & repeat boost of Tories... caused a Tory collapse.

REPORTER: Amazon will soon display a number next to the price of each product that shows how much the Trump tariffs are adding. Isn't that a perfect demonstration that it's the American consumer who is paying for these policies?

LEAVITT: This is a hostile and political act by Amazon.
