AI’s menu plan for us this week suggested a Greek yoghurt berry parfait for breakfast. But looking out at our gloomy cold morning, we think buckwheat-cranberry pancakes with a bacon side is a better idea. Human intelligence triumphs!

Kudos to NWT Public Health for setting up vaccine clinics at all sorts of locations and all sorts of times. Makes it really easy to get the annual jab(s).

Seems a bit early for this.

Overnight temperatures are getting close to 0°C. It was time to bring the tomatoes in to finish ripening on the laundry dryer😏

Recalling in doodles, stained glass panel works-in-progress, still fragile, smeared with flux, and spattered with solder, lifted at last. Then comes the revelation: light streaming through glass, colours alive and dancing. A moment that always took my breath away.

My Goth tomatoes are doing well and they have delightfully creepy flowers.

This is fantastic. Our small but mighty #LocalNews streaming media outlet, after years of persistence, has finally been granted an FM radio licence. Congrats to @cabinradio.ca’s team!!

Virtual doctors. Good thing we never have internet or cell service outages (sarcasm tone). Thank goodness our HCWs are speaking up.

Bluesky is dying
Bluesky was invented to create a nicer space than Twitter. The problem is that too few people have joined and most are smug and boring.

Pair that with wildfire evacuations. Truly a test for emergency responders and public health officials to act nimbly and proactively to keep everyone safe from both risks.

But if the earth actually IS flat, and a cat jostles your arm as you’re finishing?…
Speaking as a cartographer:

No.
Trump: "When you take away that artificial line that looks like it was done by a ruler ... you look at that beautiful formation of Canada and the US, there is no place anywhere in the world that looks like that. And then if you add Greenland, that's pretty good."
