Lefties can we please just pass this simple test? You are not really anti-war unless you are capable of blaming the obvious aggressor. You don’t have to do this cop out shit like “No NATO made Putin do imperialism”. No one is gonna think you’re a neocon for getting this one basic thing right.
Watching Melenchon histrionically calling for an understanding w "the russians" is pure rage bait. Not only does he disregard Ru's crimes, he speaks as if Ukr right to exist is irrelevant. The gall of claiming he stands for equality/human rights while calling to consign Ukr to Ru occupation!

Recommended. Makes a very good case for why our history should be told in full. After all, perfection is not believable.

Editors have a really hard job, and the good ones can make something unreadable readable, and the great ones can make something unreadable into something good. But they're basically invisible, until someone tries to write without one.

To be totally frank, I think a lot of progressive activists are not particularly interested in thinking about beating Trump as an ends unto itself, and mostly interested in the energy he produces only insofar as they can transmute it into energy for policy change, and it's often been our downfall.

One of the mistakes the progressive activist class keeps making is conflating anti-Trump fury with left-wing political ideology, so that a huge anti-Trump movement is seen as a mandate for populism, and populist policy is seen as a way of advancing anti-Trumpism. They're very separate things
