End Conservatism With Finality (he/they)
Pinned
For folks who don't know me, I am a complete idiot. All of my ideas are bad. You should definitely ignore me.

And I am fully aware my heterodox opinions infuriate you.

But here's the thing: I truly don't care if my opinions infuriate you.

You should be infuriated at Trump & Biden for this, tho.

Why are the comedy team of Witkoff and Kushner the lead negotiators on …. ANYTHING???

No Senate approval. No confirmation process.

The only expertise these two have is the ability to enrich themselves.

I wonder if graybeards who learned gaming when it was "You are in a maze of twisty passages all alike..." have an advantage working with agentic AI from the commandline because it's all just you describing things to a computer.

ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man “purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.

Doc here is right: it’s not just the moral choice. It’s the scientific choice too. Forced birthers are awful on so many levels. But one of them is we simply have actual proof & evidence that actual outcomes for actual mothers & actual babies in actual societies (ie this is real!) are better our way!
Well, now we have not only the reason, but the medical evidence to drive a pro-choice legislation.

Mostly, we need to call the forced-birthers out on their fallacies and false assertions.

E.g. “life begins at conception.”
So conception happened about a billion years ago?

Dems should’ve passed every single one of their campaign promises the day they took office in January 2009 and again in January 2021. There was no procedural reason for them to not have figured out their shit between November and January and agreed on a massive package of legislation. Theirs.

I wish people realized that political parties aren’t supposed to work like the Democrats do.

They’ve conned us all into thinking politics works completely differently than how it actually does work.

And they do that to make us think they’re “working hard for us” and “unfortunately we keep losing.”

I don't know why bluesky's FYP shows me people making homemade pizza all the time but you know what I'm going to hand it to @bsky.app that's a nice feature. Everyone loves pizza. All pizza is good pizza.

One of the things about sports fandom that I don't know if other sports fans get is the experience of being somewhere and having this happen.

Like, I'll be wearing Northwestern gear or Texas gear or Navy gear or whatever & randos will call out to me "Go Cats" or "Hook 'em" or "Go Navy, Beat Army!"
a small child at school pickup today was all decked out head to toe in seahawks gear and ran up to me in my seahawks sweater and yelled "SEAHAWKS!!!!" (i responded in kind)

Your inability to distinguish between race, ethnicity, culture, religion, and nationhood does not mean that me criticizing Israel as a country in the community of countries is criticizing race, ethnicity, culture, or religion.

Suggesting otherwise?

That’s racist as fuck.

Y'all they know this. They're in it with the Republicans' masters.
A message to the leadership of the Democratic Party...there is no negotiating with fascists. They consider it a sign of weakness to be exploited. EOM...

“I would rather you vote for what is morally correct,” Davidson said.

“Don’t talk to me about my own morality,” DeLauro shot back.

“Don’t tell your constituents what they can and can’t talk to you about,” replied Rev. Nathan Empsall. “What you are voting for is not moral.”

“There are no words” is not an acceptable thing for the ranking member of the appropriations committee to say.
“Renee Goodman [sic], Alex Pretti – there are no words,” DeLauro said.

“You said there were no words after the murder of those two individuals,” said Rev. Jack Perkins Davidson. “I think the words are ‘Abolish ICE.’”

People used to ask why no one took out the train tracks taking people to the camps.

I ask the same of us: why have we not pulled up the roads? How come the airports that dare to allow these planes to fly out of them still have runways?

What the fuck is wrong with us? Non-violence *DOES NOT WORK*.

Hey guys is the country whose greatest strength is agriculture going to have problems if it tanks its own agricultural sector again for the second time in a century?

Because the 1930s Dust Bowl called and the Socialists under FDR solved this problem the last time the Capitalists caused it.
On Feb. 3, a bipartisan group of 27 former Agriculture Dept. officials and leaders from farm & commodity groups came together to warn Congress of an upcoming widespread & total collapse of U.S. Agriculture.
