Had to get my iMacs logic board/hard drive replaced (they should not be one item imo) and got back a computer with Tahoe installed. Besides the fact that it won’t run Adobe or Izotope, it’s UGLY and its only new features seem to benefit Apple, not the user. It’s also, maybe, impossible to downgrade.

Really annoyed that an Apple iMac bought in Feb 2023 stopped working with no warning and needs its logic board replaced + the option to expand the memory no longer exists. Less than three years old. The last two Mac’s that I owned lasted two years. Really disappointed by the huge drop in quality. 🤬

Canada has lost its measles elimination status.
A sad day, a win for anti-vaccine ignorance and politicized public health, a new age where children, families, and communities will face additional health risks for no good reason other than the comfort of joining others with similar fact-less beliefs.

This plan is about cutting back the postal service instead of investing to give it new revenue tools through things like postal banking. It’s shameful.

Circa 1984, I was introduced to Leni Riefenstahl through a banned German documentary, Time of Darkness and Silence (1982) by Nina Gladitz. The bootleg that I found to rewatch was dark and noisy, so I cleaned it up a bit. It makes a great companion to Andres Veiel’s doc.
