An Educational Psychologist nee Maths teacher. Described as woke. The rule breaker who hates to comply except when solving mathematical problems. Too many things often happening in my head, a dreamer who just wants better life chances for all. 🍉 🧠⚖️
Chimamanda Adichie talks about the dangers of a single story. Oct 7th is a single story. This single story has been responsible for the murder of a child every hour, the starvation and torture of an entire group of people. 💔

The irony, a 15 year old child was stripped of her British nationality & was not allowed to return home after being groomed into joining ISIS. And here we have a former lead of ISIS, al-Sharaa welcomed by the west with open arms and supported to becoming the president of Syria. Bonkers

I'm 💔Our family home in Syria was broken into & my uncle was mudered a week ago, his body is still there. Areas in Suwayda are still beyond the reach of humanitarian, human rights, and relief access, which remain under the control of forces ‘General Security’ #redcross #suwayda #Syria

I going to be controversial here! I’m not really concerned about what a punk group said at a music festival. Actually I’m very distressed by the idea that babies are dying because they are being purposefully denied formula milk.

Not a surprise really, systemic racism is very much alive and kicking. The same trend with school suspensions and exclusions.

Apparently we have a Labour Government…Sad times
Our comment: “We are calling on MPs to listen to disabled people and vote against the bill. The lack of consultation and the speed at which these reforms are pushed through means that only MPs can stand up for our rights and stop the misery and injustice that the cuts to PIP will inflict.”
NEW: Labour's planned disability benefit cuts could affect the majority of current working-age claimants with ischaemic heart disease, inflammatory arthritis, hip and knee disorders and Crohn’s disease, according to analysis of new DWP data

🧠 An important read in TES today, raising awareness of DCD, a condition that affects around 5% of children but often goes unrecognised. Understanding it is vital for supporting motor, social, and emotional development in the classroom.

DCD: the common SEND you’ve probably never heard of
Developmental coordination disorder (dyspraxia) affects as many children as ADHD but is widely misunderstood. So, what do teachers need to know about this condition?

Dear World Leaders on World Environment Day

Carbon footprint from Israel's war on Gaza exceeds 100 countries. If we stop driving cars we will reduce climate change. But if you stop this humanitarian and climate catastrophe in Gaza, you’ll reduce climate change and save humanity

Gosh this paper hits the nail on the head… “we argue that the replication crisis could be approached by paying more attention to the context conditions under which psychological realities and knowledge about these realities are being created”.

All cognition and behaviour is in context. #EdPsychs
