The reason a lot of white people can operate in the privilege of a comment like “we used to be able to have dissenting opinions & now they break friendships” is because the people of color in the room had to be silent in order to remain in the room safely.

Yes. This is also what all the demands to show "gratitude" and this obsession with hierarchy is about.

For a long time they were able to engineer and perpetuate absurd expectations of Black silence and/or obeisance.

A lot of their brains broke when POC on social media simply ... did not do this.

I think this aesthetic shift has more to do with the male loneliness crisis than women’s standards (it’s not even attractive to most women, it puts men in competition with each other to be essentially as toxic and unhealthy as possible)
A hill I will die on is that people are more attractive and look actually fit and not weirdly fucked up, dehydrated, & miserable in older films when they were allowed to be human and not horrible action figures. It’s not “dad bod” it’s “very fit human”

I just left the Everglades Immigrant Interment Camp. No, I’m not using their ridiculous name. It was a very tough to witness humans in those cages. Every Floridian should be ashamed that our taxpayer money is being used for this.

Men justify demanding access to women’s sexuality and labor by claiming they are natural protectors and providers.

Women who visible muscles, fight skills, and financial independence (and take pleasure in all these things) are a direct challenge to those claims and raise the bar for male access.
Men CANNOT stand a muscular woman and it's always some dork ass loser who probably can't even shoulder press the bar who has to make a negative comment. Get a grip! Better yet get a set of 10 lb dumbbells and leave us alone.
I post gym selfies all the time.

But I post one with a caption implying that my muscles aren’t just for show and men are getting more triggered than usual.

(Also Muay Thai fighter is literally in my bio.)

Y’all need to tighten up.

Andrew Tate being allowed to come to the U.S. and avoid facing trial for sex trafficking in Romania is beyond stomach-churning. This man is a HUGE influencer and uses his platform/following to further abuse women who have accused him. Now he won’t face justice, reaffirming his lies to his followers

To get past algorithmic censorship, they’re writing down the information on paper and holding up and shuffling through the handwritten signs as they talk about pretend subjects like shopping, food, and animals.
