@pbsnews.org Why can’t we see the show on PBS- rather we are seeing World and France 24. This is at least day two of this change which isn’t reflected on the PBS passport or livestream. Thanks

I’m watching The Insider. In the context of CBS settling…. Being extorted by Trump it seemed painfully relevant. So many things are different-the cell phones and technology, how NYC looked, the prevalence of networks and print media, but the manipulation by corporate interests of journalism 1/2

The president just said he won’t comply with SCOTUS instead he pawns it off on his latest bromance, Bukele. Why isn’t half of Congress protesting in front of CECEC. Step the f’ up Congress

Schumer caving is an appalling self-own and display of ineptitude
AOC: “A tremendous mistake… turns the federal government into a slush fund for Trump & Musk and cedes congressional authority… almost unthinkable why Senate Democrats would vote to to hand the few pieces of leverage that we have away for free…”

We need to watch this like a hawk. They do it once and there’s no stopping them.
A federal judge in NY has blocked any effort by the Trump administration to deport Mahmoud Khalil – whose arrest and imminent deportation Trump celebrated on Turth Social today — until further proceedings play out. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

I stand with Ukraine. 🇺🇦 I am mortified by the bullying by Tru#p and Va@ce. They defaced the Oval
Office
Here I react to the shameful encounter between American leaders and media and the Ukrainian president. No doubt there were more, but I saw five failures on our side: of hospitality, decency, democracy, strategy, and independence. Please watch and share.

Yet another reason why @thewashingtonpost.bsky.social has relinquished any claim to journalistic ethics and is now complicit in the darkness in which Democracy dies.
Echoing Jeff (Stein), if Bezos interferes with my work on the news side - I'm out.
Massive encroachment by Bezos into The Washington Post’s opinion section - makes clear dissenting views will not be published

I still have not felt encroachment on my journalism on the news side, but if Bezos tries interfering with the news side I will be quitting immediately and letting you know

Here are the options on the table (which are not mutually exclusive):

1. House Dems bring articles of impeachment*

2. Senate Dems play constitutional hardball and obstruct everything

3. State AGs litigate (and prosecute) everything they can

4. Citizens march en mass

So....do something. Use the decades of experience and parliamentary process to call real attention to this-start practicing how to actually communicate with the nation effectively. Dont posture!
Trump's been purging and intimidating USAID employees.

Now there’s a rumor he'll dissolve USAID as an independent agency.

It was created by JFK and established in law to further our national security and spread hope.

This'd be illegal and against our national interests.

This whole thread Thank you @congresswomanjasminecrockett. It's not about blame-an investigation is necessary. It's about the reality of the T-ump orders and chaos in the context of aviation safety.
No one knows what caused last night's tragic crash outside DCA.

Investigations are ongoing, and no one - not Donald Trump or anyone else - should be drawing conclusions until all the facts have been released.

But here is what we do know. (1/7)

How Universities Cracked Down on Pro-Palestinian Activism
Stricter rules and punishments over campus protests seem to be working. Universities have seen just under 950 protest events this semester, compared to 3,000 in the spring.

My wish for you
Is that you continue
Continue
To be who and how you are
To astonish a mean world
With your acts of kindness
Continue
To allow humor to lighten the burden Of your tender heart
