For me this is the most damning piece of evidence that the BBC wasn’t impartial in the gender/sex debate.

I'm a great fan of Robert Plant's solo work with Alison Krauss, and an admirer of John Paul Jones' collaboration with Diamanda Galás, but I have always found Led Zeppelin essentially unlistenable.
What is your biggest musical blindspot for someone precisely your age?
For me - an elder millennial - it is that I have never knowingly listened to INCUBUS, nor could I name even one of their songs if you put a gun to my head.

It's #TheArchers, not life or death. Most of us are here because we love it. And some of the scriptwriters are on this platform too. This kind of hyperbolic criticism of them strikes me as unnecessarily vicious.
Yep --- so much of #thearchers scriptwriting lately sucks. Are the writers suffering dementia or are they letting AI do it?

So Ruth eavesdrops on Leonard before demanding to know what his 'little secret' is, and is then taken aback when he declines to share.
Does anybody else find this behaviour peculiar, perhaps even disturbing?

What’s the point of the BBC if it can’t be impartial?
Only by ruthlessly examining what failures made it so vulnerable to groupthink in handling Martine Croxall’s case and others can the corporation save itself

You and I both agree that pregnant people is a wider set of people than pregnant women.
Therefore changing pregnant people to pregnant women changes the semantics of the advice by excluding people meant to take the advice on board.
You don’t have a leg to stand on.

If I am appointed the new director general of the #BBC. I will abolish sending celebrities out to exotic places to film travelogues.
Those of us who will never be able to afford such experiences should not have to watch celebrities who easily could, but instead actually get paid for it.

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

COROLLARY: If not 'a biological male who identifies as a woman', then what IS 'a trans woman'?
COROLLARY: If not 'a biological male who identifies as a woman', then what IS 'a trans woman'?
Fun fact: The ECU actually used the phrase “trans identity”, not “trans ideology”, and, in editing that quote, this BBC article about a presenter expressing anti-trans views breaching editorial guidelines has itself breached editorial guidelines. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I love the #BBC, but right now they seem determined to repeatedly punch themselves in the face.

Whatever your political persuasion, whatever your ethical boundaries, surely there is point beyond which the sheer misery inflicted upon ordinary people by exploitative bastards like Andrew Milne should make us question how society ought to protect itself from such people.
Shocking article in the Sheffield Tribune. A solicitor, Andrew Milne, buying up freeholds of houses and then making (false) threats to the leaseholders to bully them into buying the freehold at a huge premium.
