Watching the Christmas Carol musical that aired on NBC in '04. It's like a 30 Rock joke escaped containment 2–3 years early. Jane Krakowski is even here as the Ghost of Christmas Past. (A cowardly casting decision; Jane should've been Christmas Present.) (Jenna would've insisted on being Scrooge.)

The shift to a M&A economy has truly ruined everything. It's not even sustainable because you *need* something to M&A under the model; if everything is so thoroughly consolidated, then the whole point of M&A—share prices, not products—drags us all to hell.

We're finishing up The Hot Spot, which we started because we love Mikako Ichikawa in Shin Godzilla, and it's deeply delightful. Quite silly. I do prefer the earlier, more slice-of-life episodes, but everything is tying together in pretty pleasing ways.
