Someone once said: sports don’t build character; they reveal it.
Pretend you’re John Lynch. Which side of the ball gets priority attention this offseason: the offense (needed to better deal with Seattle’s D) or defense (to better deal with Stafford & Co.)?

Disappointing to lose a “home game” at SoFi, but won’t be shocked if Melbourne leans 49ers.

7 other road games: 2 hostile (SEA, KC) and 5 friendlies: NYG, AZ, ATL, DAL, LA (Chargers). By my count, they’ll play in front of at least 13 friendly crowds. 2nd foreign game … TBD.

Bezos won’t sell to anyone on “principle” — because he has no principles. He never cared about quality journalism. His sole motive was, and remains, to curry favor with an authoritarian.

Sadly, this was inevitable.

People might want to listen to 49ers +/- before engaging with @timkawakami.bsky.social here. He and @mattbarrows.bsky.social devoted much of today’s episode to this (about 80/20 Kawakami opining, Barrows listening). 😊

TK is … committed … to his position. 😉. You aren’t moving him.
"Moving around" is different than "put him inside."

The 49ers already move Bosa inside on pass rushes at times.

It would be ridiculous to do it more than a handful of plays a game. And he wouldn't want to do it.
The same reason Cleveland moves Myles Garrett around and KC moves Chris Jones, to keep the offense guessing and exploit matchups. If anything, it's kind of ridiculous how static he's been to this point.

Obvious strategy: falsely claim there’s evidence of fraud in seized GA 2020 election records; use that “evidence” to justify an attempt to federalize midterms.

Time we lawyer up, America. This is going to be a messy fight.
Trump’s whining about his 2020 defeat is easy to ignore. His actions are not:
- FBI's ridiculous search in Fulton County
- hiring Kurt Olsen to focus exclusively on conspiracy theory
- directing DOJ to find imaginary evidence of fraud
- demanding baseless prosecutions
www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...
As the FBI searches Fulton County, Trump’s 2020 election fixation has escalated beyond whining
When it comes to his 2020 defeat, what the president is doing is now more alarming than what he’s saying.

Yeah, well, I sorely miss that uniquely deep context on my Niners that only Mr. Silver could provide.

BREAKING: Supreme Leader Trump has repealed the Second Amendment
Trump: "You can't have guns...You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that."

He loves “gun people.” Just not the “gun people” who see him as the corrupt, self-absorbed psychopath he is.
Trump: You can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. It's a very unfortunate thing.

Yeah. “Deeply frustrated” at knowing they’ll lose the House in November. At his tanking poll numbers. At being exposed as murderous thugs. At seeing their fascist agenda stall.

Not, though, at seeing innocent citizens die. Not that.
The administration is "deeply frustrated"? To my mind, Noem/Bovino carried out what the White House wanted (see statements from Miller absolving ICE and smearing Good and Pretti), and now that its backfired, they are being used by Trump as scapegoats to absolve the WH of accountability.
Dont forget.
BREAKING: Bovino is leaving MN: "Administration officials were left deeply frustrated this weekend over how Bovino and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem handled the fallout from the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis." www.cnn.com/us/live-news...

Denver and New England clearly is the JV game today. Those offenses are wretched.

I cannot believe the host of Meet the Press - supposedly a “seasoned” journalist - asks such easily deflected questions. She FED him the answer.

How about “Mr. Blanche: these images shock the senses. Please explain them.
This is what “humane” law enforcement looks like under Trump. You cannot shock the conscience of people who don’t have one.
January 25, 2026 at 6:11 PM
Focus understandably is on the masked ICE thugs and senior administration officials.

But don’t ignore silent co-conspirators. Whoever found and knowingly posted the fake image of a weapon on social media is complicit in the lie. And they, too, must be held accountable.
January 24, 2026 at 10:22 PM
Lawful gun ownership is something the right defends, passionately. Now it’s used to gaslight us as we watch another citizen murdered in cold blood for exercising his 1st Amendment right to peacefully protest.
January 24, 2026 at 8:44 PM
They’ll insist he was “just joking.”
January 22, 2026 at 2:21 AM
Networks carrying this rambling, shambolic campaign-style “press conference” are now co-conspirators. As is every White House reporter sitting there like docile little stupid lambs.

Our kitten (7 mo) is grabbing the edge of small trash cans with her mouth and tipping them over. Her predecessor over 17 years NEVER attempted it.

It would be utterly hilarious if the Seahawks don’t have Darnold (or he’s compromised), lose to the 49ers, and complain about what “might’ve been.” SF has lived in “might’ve been land for months. And here they are.

The president AND Karoline Leavitt AND every WH official should be asked again and again: “when will the President demand the release all of every page in the Epstein files? Why is the administration violating the law?

No questions about ANYTHING else. None. Zip. Nada.
Rep Don Bacon, R-NE, texts: “I and most Americans disagree with the President’s heavy handedness. He is threatening NATO members, which is shameful. The fact that Greenland is part of NATO’s umbrella gives the President all he needs to put more bases there…
Trump says on Feb 1 he will impose a 10% tariff “on any and all goods sent” to US from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, & Finland, increasing to 25% June 1 “until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.”
January 17, 2026 at 8:13 PM
Don’t disagree, but he never contemplated any of that. Imagine this message: “I’m running to satisfy my lust to rid America of anyone who doesn’t look like me, think like me or bow to me.”

So he promised s**t he never intended to deliver. And counted on his base to be too stupid to understand.
January 17, 2026 at 6:09 PM
“Other owners could compete, if they wanted to” was used to defend Eddie DeBartolo’s free-spending ways that helped fuel the 49ers’ ‘80’s/early ‘90’s dominance.

The first NFL salary cap was imposed in 1994, the year the Niners won their 5th - and last - Lombardi.

Although I’m not a corporate psychologist, there’s a clear “we don’t want to just dump a former prized lottery pick we’ve failed to develop” vibe here.

Ego + quiet, unacknowledged shame = decision avoidance.

TK - I give you unilateral permission to use this in a column: which MIN defender picked off Garoppolo in that Jan. 2020 divisional game and turned Shanahan into a Neanderthal play caller?

(Hint: he’s playing this weekend.) Answer forthcoming.
