US liberals talk about protecting democracy a lot but they seem to revile it in practice. the idea that a politician should ever be required to do anything to win votes, rather than simply represent an amorphously 'good' or 'bad' team, is treated as some sick heresy

I've been feeling this way for years now, and I can't quite explain why. Now, I draft almost anything (blog posts, letters to editors, etc) on paper.
Slowly moving all my writing offline from Google Docs. I don't know why, but I feel like reverting back to using a plain old word processor.

Really don't like that the 'Phone is for childish things like TikTok and laptop is for adult stuff like buying plane tickets' is slowly becoming irrelevant bc companies are prioritising mobile UX now. Almost every web app from every Filipino company I've used have been abysmal.

This is a great post that gave me the info I needed on how Apple handles my data for 'Enhanced Visual Search' in Photos app (they still should have not opted me in by default)

This is so nitpicky but the only reason I still haven't switched to StoryGraph is because they use the Poppins typeface and I think geometric typefaces are so ugly

my thoughts are incomplete yet but Henri Bergson proposed that things are funny due to the incongruity of the living and the mechanical, eg: a person slipping on a banana peel is reduced to a mechanical object, following not his own will (a sign of living) but the laws of physics.
