If you haven’t yet called and/or emailed your House Representatives to tell them in no uncertain terms that they must vote NO on the monstrously ugly reconciliation bill, you still have time!

Start with the “moderate” Republican Reps and work your way down to Democrats.

We CAN stop this calamity!
Here’s contact information for Reps Golden, Fitzpatrick, Valadao, Lawler.

Call, write, fax, and/or visit “moderate” House Reps’ offices NOW!

Per House Dem leadership we likely have about 8 hours remaining to maintain a united Dem front and convince 4 House Republicans to vote NO on the bill.

Even if you (wrongly) believe that some immigrants lack due process rights, what’s to stop the government from claiming that *you* are an undocumented immigrant; removing you to El Salvador; citing an “administrative error”; and refusing to do anything to bring you back?

The answer is due process.

A request from @mainepeople.bsky.social to help stop ICE from contracting with local law enforcement in Bangor.

At the April 14th Bangor City Council meeting, MPA members urged the city to pass an ordinance banning these contracts, like Rep. Rana’s bill (LD 1259) would do statewide.

House Republicans just rammed through the #SAVEAct - a dangerous bill that would make it harder for eligible Americans to vote.

As the top election official in a state with one of the highest voter turnout rates, I can tell you with certainty: This bill solves nothing and helps no one. #mepolitics

Ban members of Congress and senior White House staff, including the President, from trading stocks for a year prior to and after holding office or accepting a position in government.

Require all government workers to divest from business interests and transfer assets to blind indexed trusts.
Members of Congress should never be allowed to trade stocks. Period.
