Looking forward to this being all over the news tonight...you know, like the media did with Birmingham when that was in financial straights...using it as a stick to beat the Labour Party with...

( I am not expecting it to appear at all... )
🚨 BREAKING: Kent County Council is hurtling towards financial oblivion under Reform.

A shocking new council report reveals a projected budget black hole of £46.5 million for this year. The Reform Administration has completely lost control of our finances. 🔶

Here's all the evidence you need to either show that YouGov ask a very specific group of people their polling questions, or that the great British public are morons with a very short memory.
I guess both could be true...
Which party do Britons think would be best at managing the economy?

Conservatives: 20%
Labour: 12%
Reform UK: 12%
Greens: 7%
Lib Dems: 6%
None: 14%

Really ? Ffs. Did she find 4 billion quid down the back of a sofa ? We'll be back to the old Sun headlines of scrounging families and single parents before the next GE, and Labour will be out again.
I am Labour, I do not want this unless it can be afforded. If my tax goes up for it I'll be livid.
NEW: Rachel Reeves signals she intends to remove the two-child cap *in full*

"I don't think a child should be penalised because they're in a bigger family through no fault of their own," she tells BBC.

If Hitler was about today, there would be no war to stop him. Everyone would just capitulate and do whatever he wanted.
What fucking feeble and weak willed politicians, journalists and governing bodies we have these days.

Trevor Phillips is a real arsehole, isn’t he ? Didn’t he used to be a Blair advisor ? When did he change sides ?
I just caught his opening monologue to his show today. He should wear a pale blue rosette.

Well done, the people of Caerphilly !
Lets all put Reform back in their place now..

How can one make a story, let alone a headline, out of this brief moment ?
Anything to try and belittle our PM, eh ? What is wrong with journalism in this country ?
If you HAD to write something, why not say 'Trump continues to be rude to people' ?
Arseholes.

So, either people have very very rose tinted glasses ( probably true ) or don't remember how unpopular she was for most of her governance.
Maybe this shows that you don't have to be popular to be a PM.
I fucking hated her then and hate her know, just for the record..
On the centenary of her birth, Margaret Thatcher is Britons' top choice for best PM of the last 50 years

Margaret Thatcher: 29%
Tony Blair: 12%
Harold Wilson: 6%
Boris Johnson: 4%
Gordon Brown: 3%
David Cameron: 3%
John Major: 2%

The style is now unmistakable: satellite zoom-ins, black & white wireframes, and red-textured houses - a new visual language of war

Imagine the if this were a Labour politician.
If this doesn’t get picked up and carried there’s no hope..
Nathan Gill is no fringe politician.

He was the leader of the Reform Party and before that UKIP in Wales.

A Brexit Party MEP.

A friend and ally of Nigel Farage, who in 2016 called him:

"terrific," and "as honest as the day is long."

This is a MASSIVE story

They must be disappointed that this latest distraction from the Epstein stuff didn't last very long...
"To date, FDA has not found clear evidence that appropriate use of acetaminophen during pregnancy causes adverse… neurobehavioral, or developmental outcomes.”
That’s the regulator’s bottom line: no proof of causation."

Is there anything in the world that collapses faster than a policy announcement by Reform ? Maybe it should be a new scientific measure ? A 'farage' maybe ? The quickest entropic effect in the universe.
The think tank have said their numbers "should not be used."

Here's all you need to know about the hypocrisy of the Tories.
What a smug piece of shit.
And not even an MP anymore, so GTFO Mogg. Prick.
*Unless it is Cameron being replaced by May, May being replaced by Johnson, Johnson being replaced by Truss, or Truss being replaced by Sunak.

It is only if Starmer goes.

Absolute. Charlton. Hypocrite. Imbecile.

Good thread.
Would you believe it, but it turns out Musk is not only a fascist, but also thick as a plank.
He's the embodiment of the Dunning-Kreuger effect but with money.
I am hoping that they are getting more vocal and extreme because they are losing rather than gaining strength.
When speaking to Tommy Robinson at the far right demonstration in London today, Elon Musk wore a t-shirt saying "What would Orwell think?"

So let's dive in - what would George Orwell think about Tommy Robinson and Elon Musk? 🧵

The right must feel like they are losing the argument.
I can't imagine another reason to suddenly start saying 'lets all forget about left and right'.
The toxicity of the right is showing.
People they have hoodwinked are seeing the veneer stripped off.
They'd never say these things otherwise.

Free-dumb of speech…
what we’ve seen from the right is the most insane case of cancel culture i’ve ever witnessed. the left has never even done close to a fraction of a fraction of what they want to do now

Maybe, finally, we are seeing people realise what a bunch a loonies and grifters this lot are.
Perhaps the best thing that could have happened was the wall to wall sycophantic coverage of the BBC and SKY ( with the exception of Beth Rigby.. )...the viewers could see them for who they truly are..
