So they think populism is the way forward ? Like the Tories tried ? How did that work out for them ?
The left are as bad as the right and the media.

….not again…

I meant in its now seemingly adopted colloquial sense. As in, not via a recognised safe route, hence the inverted commas..

I don’t think they ( or anyone but the worst racists ) thinks that EVERYONE coming here is doing so ‘illegally’, but you have to legislate for the worst.
This isn’t a blanket ban on immigration. Most of what she said yesterday seemed to be announcing that they were simply actually doing things.

‘Will’ ?? ‘Would’, surely ? Or is it just a given that they’ll somehow get in at the next GE ?
They have scrapped every other half-arsed plan that they have squeezed out of their tiny brans so this cobblers is likely more of the same.
Don’t give them publicity. They are 5 MPs ffs.

‘Rich man looking for a hobby’ beats ‘activist looking to make changes’ every time…

I would have expected you to read past the headline.
So many people I wouldn't expect having knee-jerk reactions to this click-bait headline this morning is quite surprising.

I am not talking about Reform voters, but rather Reform itself. If they have no 'high ground' to take on immigration, they have nothing. The media would have to talk about their economic policies, their stance on the NHS etc. etc. They'd be toast.
November 14, 2025 at 3:12 PM
It needs to be addressed otherwise Reform will just keep banging their lone drum. If it's resolved by the Govt, Reform have nothing. We've seen Farage already scrap all his tax cutting 'aspirations' after scrutiny. If all they have is immigrants, and that's taken away, they'll be done.

Who has been 'laying it bare in public' ? It's all media, opposition and 'expert' speculation.
Market uncertainty is their goal, surely ? They want things to look unstable and chaotic, as some have claimed.
But none of it has any real basis, does it ? Or have I missed an announcement somewhere ?

The enemy of the fascist is always a member of a squalid under-class, and simultaneously wealthy and in control of everything to such a degree that they stymie the righteous fascist’s plans.

Surely they could just make the fact that he's been played by DIFFERENT PEOPLE part of the 'Bond' lore, that the name is just given to the top spook ?
He's not been regenerating like Dr Who.
Start the next film with the selection process, in that bit that runs before the opening credits. Sorted.

Do you want an apolitical BBC or not ? One can't complain about Tory appointees and say they should be replaced with Labour appointees.
It's not in Labour's remit to replace people on a whim. They are doing things properly. Just because the Tories didn't doesn't mean they have to be as bad.
November 10, 2025 at 2:46 PM
We don't HAVE to give him any publicity. If this cunt gets into No 10, it'll be the media's fault. When he does a Trump and goes after people and makes everyone else's lives a misery, it'll be the media's fault.
Either stand up to him or ignore him.
It's exasperating.
November 10, 2025 at 2:42 PM
What is this bullshit ? Is he having a wank-fest every Monday dressed up as some kind of alternative Govt. or something ? Why are the press even there ? Why give him and his ilk al this publicity ? Let the fuckers fester in solitude. They have 5 MPs for fucks sake.
November 10, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Quite. But when the left play fair and to the rules, the right and other bad actors see that as weakness and so whatever they want, and never seem to suffer and consequences so just carry on doing their shitty stuff.
It is indeed infuriating..

A thing, not an thing..

They are seizing an opportunity to try and bring it down or at least try and destroy it’s reputation ( which, while under the Tories, was apparently fine ).
I suspect that whoever is pulling Johnson’s strings and those of the Times saw a chance to make ‘fake news’ an thing.
November 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM
Unlike the Tories who could do partisan things with impunity, Labour would be ripped apart by the press if they did so.
