Thousands of people are ditching Tesla. Here’s one of them with a message you can see from space.

Best piece on the subject so far and it’s chilling me to the bone
“As Trump asked him who was ‘holding the cards’ at the moment, the Ukrainian leader – whose countrymen and women were fighting and dying against Russian aggressors even as the meeting took place – was desperately trying to make the point that none of this is a game to him.”
Trump's bullying of Zelensky reminds the world that business as usual is over

This is on another level. So much to unpack. Masterful.

When I left Twitter I had a 1M followers and 100K tweets. You know what happen to me when it was all gone? Nothing.

To the Twitter refugees who I see fretting about losing contacts and content by deleting Twitter, trust, you'll be fine. They have convinced us that we need them. Nope. They need US.

More than 43,000 have now used our tool to complain to Ofcom about this loathsome GB News clip. We are approaching the 58,000 that would make it the most complained about ever segment of TV news. action.goodlawproject.org/ofcom-stop-g...
Ofcom, stop GB News broadcasting hate
*CW: Homophobia, hate speech GB News is no stranger to spouting hatred and toxic lies. They take pride in it, and pretend the rules don’t matter. But they do. And they must be enforced. On 22 January,...

The UK can secure significant growth of 1.7% - 2.2% through a policy of deep alignment with the EU on goods and services, while staying within Starmer's red lines.
This is the approach to push for: peak ambition within the constraints Labour has set.

As I scan the listening/Audiobars in Paris, it’s insane how most of them are "Natural Wine" bars. Aren’t all wines served in good bars/shops basically natural now anyway?

Some people think it's clever not to say what you really believe in.

They try to look at where the "mainstream" is and situate themselves one degree beyond it.

We don't.

We say: rejoin the EU.

The majority – over 60% of the public in polls! – are with us.

So why wouldn't we? Someone needs to!

Someone help Katie please. Tenerife hasn’t come to my wine radar yet. Maybe 2025 will solve that.
Wine people: Please tell me about great vineyards you visited in Tenerife. I'm going for a weekend in March (yes, it's a "Tom running up a massive hill" thing) and I'd love to do my fave thing while I'm there, aka. marvel at volcano grapes, hold lava in my hands, gaze upon black soil, etc.

Written a while back but here’s my take on how we approached 2024’s challenges and set ourselves up for the best chance to max out in Nov-Dec, what we’re looking out for in 2025 and how we’re planning to navigate these new sets of challenges.

Simplistic view but so long as we’ve “lost weight” in the right places (I.e. mass produced, environmentally degrading “wines”), I’m fine with that. I’m sure there’s more to that picture however.
Global Wine Production, 1960-2024.
For 2024, OIV predicts wine production to be between 22.7-23.5 billion liters. The midpoint forecast is 23.1 billion liters --- the lowest production level since 1961.

Alright then, New Year, new platform, same me but… it’s the 1st year since Seb was born I feel, if I manage my time and energy right, I might be able to progress towards those elusive goals. First, I need to learn, a lot. So I’m gonna fish for as much free intel as I can. I will need your help.

Ok, I’ve arrived into this post-Twitterverse. What now?
I don’t really believe that the very opposite of Twitter is the answer to what it has become. Will this be an echo-chamber for all those who don’t want a world ran by Trump and Musk?
