It feels like the "controlled" bit is what irked. And I did think it was strangely worded from Isabel if that’s a direct quote. I can understand this side of winemaking not being fan of "control" and I wouldn’t want too much of that in that sector either. Just quality, drinkable wine pls.

This is incredibly short-sighted. What Isabel is quoted to say is, if anything, a welcome spell of fresh air from this end of the debate. Like it or loath it, people are actually free to choose what they want to consume. They tend to prefer things that taste good. "Good" clearly is up for debate.
