Digital dramaturg, post-pandemic digital theatre researcher, sci-fi writer, performer, director, and dramaturg. She/her. More sarcastic than anyone you'll meet.
I was just listening to a podcast this morning about the NYTimes publishing some stupid op-ed about how women are ruining the workplace and now this Epst**n news drops. I guess we know what type of work those editors think we should be doing, now.

The idea that sexual abuse is part of “private” life instead of a public crisis has done incalculable damage. Anti-rape activists have to fight to even make it possible to expose sexual abuse as a wrongdoing in public without being silenced and undermined. That fight is far from won

The more student essays I read, the less I am angry at AI or social media or television or whatever has been the hysterical overreaction making all of us dumber - and the more convinced I am that, regardless of how many people learn to read in school, 80% of humans are fundamentally illiterate.

Kinda seems like America is such a rich country specifically because of the centuries' long culture of abusing most people living there.

I have finally had opportunity to learn the 'Analyze Data' function in Excel because I actually have some mixed methods data to analyse and I am so stoked in a very Small Child way.

Do event name by state! Now do event name by venue and first date! NOW DO ...

If the DOD is getting so much money does that mean taxpayer dollars can get redistributed for domestic needs again? Like every other civilized country?

I'm marking student papers analysing two feminist plays (Top Girls by Churchill compared to 1 of 3 other options) and it is ABSOLUTELY NUTS how many of these papers simply do not use character names.

Plays by women, about women, discussed by erasing the women. Supes cool time to be an academic.

Fun to go through another educator's curriculum and be like, ah yes, I would make different choices for this case study but I agree this is good, I'm glad you like this one

I'm not saying the Louvre heist and AWS being down are connected events but I am saying that would make a rad script.

My good friend @bleything.net got me on a folk horror movie class and I'm finally getting around to my movie-warching homework with The Wickerman (1974) and I truly have never cheered harder for the 'villains' of a movie, screw this lead character I hate him

US Government accounts have arrived on Bluesky.

Block on sight.

Protect your digital space.

Be aware that the DHS account in particular is known to quote dunk on regular people to encourage their followers to harass them.

The detach quote function will come in very handy here…

Documentation is so important
Digitisation is so important for documents
But it is also such ephemeral medium
What happens to the protests when They turn the internet off? Who gets word out, and how?
The physical and the digital are the same thing, think in those terms, think in terms of redundancy

I love Pacific Rim because there is a male lead and a female lead who have to see each other in tight clothes and intimate scary conditions but they never once hook up or makeout, they're FRIENDS.
pacific rim is a really good movie and i'm tired of people pretending it isn't
