I had the honor of protesting next to Rabbi Waskow in 2019 to shut down ICE HQ in DC. As I risked arrest while Rabbi Waskow sang prayers I grew up learning in shul, it cemented for me that my activism & my Judaism were indistinguishable from one another. May his memory be a blessing.

💔 This past Sunday, our base showed up in the thousands across the country to protest the detention and deportation machine. Jews & allies took to the streets, insisting on our right to publicly mourn the horrors of our so-called immigration system. In total, 11 cities took action.

Three times since 2016 Kerr County ahs asked the Texas Dept. of Emergency Management (TDEM) for a $1 million flood alert program and were denied each time.
Meanwhile, TDEM has spent hundreds of millions on "border security" boondoggle contracts under Op. Lone Star.

Kerr County asked Texas for help multiple times in 8 years. It said no.
Kerr County and the Upper Guadalupe River Authority have tried several times to get funding to upgrade flood alerts on the river, dating back to 2016.
