I don’t entirely know why, but I don’t know that I like Joshua Williamson’s comics. Certainly, he last big event “Final Crisis on Infinite Earths” seemed like an absolute mess of big showpiece moments with not enough connective tissue.

Well, I'm officially old. Two reasons:
1. I took a nap after work. Naturally I did so on the couch, where I have no CPAP. Not only was it not restful, I slept wrong and my neck hurts.

Progressive Delivery has interesting points around “Abundance”, but I wonder if a better descriptor would have been “Standardization” - orgs can’t purchase unlimited resources (and the book makes this clear).

Oof, this was painful to read (and not just for the wall o'text) and I imagine even more painful to debug/recover from! Impressive they managed to recover that quickly from such a complete clusterfuck

The IRS is introducing new regulations on catch-up contributions to retirement plans. These contributions raise the annual contribution limits for those over 50, and again for those over 60. Starting in 2026, those earning over $145k must pay taxes on these contributions.

At the Henrietta no kings protest. Good crowd for an other suburb. Don’t see any police, but I also see no barriers between the protest and the somewhat busy road. Paranoid?

Finished David Weber’s Governor. As always in a Weber military sf, the winner is the side that says “hey. What if missiles, but in PODS?” (There’s more to it than that, mostly being flippant)

I would also piss off so many hard-core POB readers by giving Diana such a better ending than she received.
I’d finance a series of Master & Commander movies or a tv series so expensive they couldn’t possibly make their budget back.

Finally starting to see some people questioning the actual productivity gains we're seeing from spending $100k+ per year on various AI tools.
