I'd be shocked if ASW of all companies resorted to genAI, especially given how meticulous they are about hand-crafting stuff.

That's the norm for fighting games nowadays, higher visual fidelity means that it takes longer to make each character.

Likewise, Thor is basically confirmed. Steve & Tony are getting their classic suits, both of which can be seen in the NYC stage alongside Thor's. Since that model exists, it heavily implies that Thor himself won't be far behind.

Like I said, I think we're gonna have at least one lady per team. Carol on the Avengers would fill that spot.

Of course, this means that there won't be a pure Guardians of the Galaxy team. But I would have Captain Marvel on the Avengers team to give the cosmic side some more love, especially since I expect team to have at least one lady. Also, there's a suspicious starburst in the recent trailer.

In addition, Doctor Doom & Star-Lord both suspiciously don't have unique dialogue with each other (possibly to avoid spoilers) & have fur collars in their designs. Shuri's Black Panther suit also has a fur collar in the comics, as does Loki's outfit in a number of depictions.

It's either this or Nintendo releasing their newer games on PC, but I doubt they'd willingly go for that unless Switch 2 & 3 sales completely crater and investors force their hand (see Nintendo's mobile games in the wake of the Wii U's failure).

This is why Nintendo is starting to get into movies (they're meant to be gateway drugs to Nintendo's dedicated hardware & software). The kids are moving towards PC & mobile gaming, so meeting the masses where they are (the theater) is how Nintendo's hoping to counter-act this trend.

Maybe they could finesse the Doom team to instead be Royalty so T'Challa, one of the Odinson boys, & Namor can be included at launch without taking up any Avengers slots in T'Challa's case (since I'd imagine that Hulk will be on there plus one more). Magneto can then go to the X-Men.

A byproduct of more powerful hardware requiring more time & money to create fighting game characters. Granted, ASW doesn't have to worry about molding the folds of each piece of fabric per-frame like Capcom does for SF6. But a lot of work does go into maintaining the anime aesthetic at all angles.
