The issue is more than Nintendo tends to prioritize what their domestic market likes, & Japan doesn’t really care about Metroid.
Case in Point: Pikmin barely sells better than Metroid & it’s treated as a core IP, in part due to a majority of those sales are from Japan (plus some Miyamoto nepotism).

Good to see Sakurai's old take on Wild-era Zelda continue to age like milk. No beef against the guy, more of this Zelda variant proving that she has hands.

With the first 3, they’ll probably just change the designs to be more like Netflix (Ex: Annette will likely be Black in all future depictions) while their lore may end up being a mix of the games & the Netflix series. But Drolta, I’d be shocked if we ever see the original game variant again.

Forgotten Land came out after Air Riders' design document (& the roster) was finalized. Things like bosses are easier to implement after the fact than playable characters, like Spring Man's AT & Rex's Mii costume in Ultimate. So unless HAL gave Sakurai prior notice, Elfilin may be screwed.
