A 12-year-old I know got her first Wu tang CD.

Two days later I walk in to a conversation about how you use baking soda to flip a brick of cocaine into $200k.

So that’s going great.

When I lived in France we had a sweet old neighbor lady who would spit every time she passed a certain house. Eventually, her daughter explained to me that the home belonged to a man who’d collaborated with the Nazis 60 YEARS AGO. May these ICE goons face a similarly lonely future.

Every year, the nation’s governors convene in Washington, DC, for a friendly winter confab that includes a working meeting at the White House and a black-tie dinner hosted by the president.

Trump is currently polling a -98 on Bluesky.
I don't know how much more evidence we need that staying on Twitter is dramatically warping the sense of the world for everyone who uses it as a primary social media destination.

When (not if) he says that word, will the media even report it? Will he apologize?
President Wallace, I mean Trump, won't apologize for being a Jim Crow era bigot. He's also reportedly ordering comfortable peaked white cotton hoods for ICE thugs to wear during the summer in place of their current winter ski masks.

ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man “purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.

The Epstein files are turning into one of those accidental historical archives of preserved records like the Oxyrhynchus Papyri Manuscript (fragments from 32BC–640AD found in an Egyptian rubbish dump). But instead of shopping lists, bills and horoscopes it’s the elite manipulating the system.
This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.
