made this guide 5+ years ago and while I would expand upon it given another chance, it remains true. "style" is little more than how you perceive the world around you and synthesize that information into shapes.
a guide to finding style through life drawing. step one. look. step two. translate. quickly draw the shapes you see and the details most important to you. "style" is how you translate thoughts and teh world around you through art. you can learn it from studying your favorite artists but chances are, you already possess it. the examples used are "graphic approach, realistic approach, negatie space, and color + light."
